Went to Divi this morning to accompany my mom and bro for their measurements. Dad was not able to come with us due to his condition so we just brought this old barong as sample size. We just took public transport since it’s a Saturday and it’s expected to be crowded there. We arrived at Ylaya, a little past our appointment schedule. We were greeted by the modista and after the introduction; she took my mom’s measurements then my brother’s. We gave her my dad’s old barong as basis for his measurements.
After which, I was told that my gown is ready as well as Adrian’s piña cocoon barong. We I saw my gown it was just like an ordinary gown with a trail, pink beads and tiny rosebuds. But after fitting it, and as I look at myself in the mirror, it transformed before my eyes into a simple yet very classy and elegant gown. And I don’t even have my make up on and my hair do was terrible. I just can’t wait to wear it!
Adrian’s barong is gorgeous. It was the first time that I saw the design he chose and what can I say, my man knows his stuff. I can’t wait to see him in it. I know he’ll be the best looking guy at the church wearing the best barong ever!
